DGCA Launches Probe into Air India Mishap at Pune Airport

A team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) conducted an investigation at Pune airport following an incident involving an Air India flight bound for Delhi. The mishap occurred when the aircraft collided with a tug tractor during taxi preparations, with over 200 passengers onboard.

Airport authorities confirmed that the DGCA team would undertake a comprehensive examination of all factors surrounding the incident. Their investigation aims to provide insights and recommendations to enhance safety measures on the airside and tarmac areas.

In addition to probing the Air India incident, officials are also looking into a separate incident involving damage caused by an IndiGo ladder to a chartered flight parked at the airport.
