Jaipur's B2 Bypass
Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) announced the opening of a 300-metre stretch of the B2 Bypass intersection on Thursday, facilitating direct traffic movement between Sanganer and Tonk Road. This strategic development aims to enhance traffic efficiency and reduce congestion in the area.
A JDA official stated, “At the B2 Bypass intersection, we have opened a 300-metre road for direct travel from Tonk Road to Sanganer. The construction of both cloverleaves is expected to be completed by the end of June.” The B2 Bypass intersection project includes traffic improvement and beautification efforts, along with comprehensive road construction and civil works. As of Thursday, the traffic system at the B2 Bypass crossing on Tonk Road has undergone significant changes.
Commuters traveling from Sanganer to Durgapura can now proceed directly over the underpass, ensuring smoother traffic flow and reduced congestion. However, those heading to Malviya Nagar from Sanganer will continue to use Ashram Marg until the cloverleaf construction is finalised. Meanwhile, travelers from Sanganer to Mansarovar are advised to utilise the newly created slip lane. The JDA’s initiative to open this critical section of the B2 Bypass is a significant step towards improving traffic management and infrastructure in Jaipur, promising a more efficient commute for the city’s residents.
