Tamannaah Bhatia Expands Mumbai Real Estate Portfolio with ₹24 Crore Investment

Bollywood star Tamannaah Bhatia has made a significant addition to her investment portfolio with the purchase of prime retail space in Mumbai. The Rs24 crore deal, documented through property registration records accessed via real estate data aggregation platform Zapkey.com, marks her third property acquisition in June.

The acquired retail space, situated in Andheri West’s Bharat Altavista tower, spans a total of 2,197 square feet. The transaction includes two units—one on the ground floor covering 900 square feet and a larger unit on the first floor measuring 1,297 square feet. The purchase also includes two parking slots. Bharat Realty Ventures Pvt Ltd is listed as the seller of the high-end property, while Tamannaah Gems and Jewellery Limited, a venture owned by Bhatia and co-directed by her parents, is recorded as the buyer. According to real estate sources, the acquisition is primarily for investment purposes, with potential plans to lease out the space in the future. The transaction, registered on June 27, 2024, reflects a strategic move by Bhatia to diversify her investment portfolio, leveraging the lucrative commercial real estate market in Mumbai. In addition to this purchase, Bhatia registered two other significant deals on the same day. These include a 6,065-square-foot commercial property in Juhu, rented for Rs18 lakh per month, and three residential units in Andheri West, mortgaged to Indian Bank for Rs7.84 crore. These acquisitions underscore her active involvement in Mumbai’s dynamic real estate market, known for attracting substantial interest from Bollywood celebrities.

Mumbai’s property market continues to be a preferred investment destination for the Bollywood fraternity, with high rental yields and capital appreciation driving interest in commercial properties. The city’s real estate market has seen investments from several marquee names, including younger actors like Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan, who seek to capitalize on the financial capital’s robust property market. Experts attribute the trend to the substantial rental yields in commercial properties and the steady capital appreciation of residential real estate in Mumbai. As the financial capital of India, Mumbai offers a unique blend of investment opportunities that continue to attract high-profile investors from various sectors, including entertainment.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s recent acquisitions highlight her strategic approach to property investment, emphasizing the importance of diversification and long-term value creation in the competitive real estate market. As she expands her portfolio, her investments will likely serve as a model for other industry professionals looking to make strategic property investments in Mumbai.
