Rainfall Peaks in Rajasthan with cities of Jaipur, Jhalawar, Bharatpur Soaked

Ajmer: Several districts in Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jhalawar, and Bharatpur, experienced substantial rainfall over the past 24 hours, reports the meteorological department.

The downpour was particularly intense in areas like Gangadhar in Jhalawar district, which recorded 87 mm of rainfall, followed closely by Maujmabad in Jaipur with 86 mm, and Deeg in Bharatpur at 66 mm. Additional showers were reported in Osian, Jodhpur, with 36 mm of rainfall. The weather patterns indicate that these districts encountered varying degrees of rainfall, ranging from light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms

Despite the recent heavy rains, the maximum temperatures recorded in Jaisalmer and Barmer peaked at 39.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday, reflecting the contrasting weather conditions prevalent in different parts of Rajasthan. The meteorological department forecasts continued rainfall in select areas across Jaipur, Kota, Bharatpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, and Jodhpur divisions over the next 24 hours. This prediction suggests ongoing weather variability as the monsoon progresses through Rajasthan.

The timely information provided by the weather office serves as a crucial advisory for residents and authorities alike, especially concerning preparedness and response measures in flood-prone regions. As the monsoon season unfolds, vigilance remains essential to monitor water levels, ensure safety protocols are in place, and manage infrastructure resilience against inclement weather conditions. The forecasted showers are expected to contribute significantly to the region’s agricultural prospects while also necessitating careful management of water resources and flood control strategies.
