KMDA Announces Flyover Restoration Project

The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) has announced a crucial repair initiative for the Sealdah flyover carriageway, addressing mounting concerns over structural deterioration and safety hazards. The Sealdah flyover, a vital transit artery in Kolkata, has exhibited significant signs of wear and tear. Additionally, the KMDA is contemplating a more extensive structural reinforcement of the flyover. However, before these more significant upgrades can proceed, logistical hurdles must be addressed. Notably, hawkers and vendors operating beneath the flyover will need to be temporarily relocated to facilitate the repair work without disruptions.
