Godrej Properties Wins Greater Noida Land Auction

Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) has emerged as the highest bidder in an e-auction conducted by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). The auction, aimed at selling residential group housing plots, saw GPL secure two prime land parcels with a combined bid value of INR 842 crore.

The details of the bid were disclosed on SBI’s e-tendering portal. GNIDA is expected to issue the allotment letters following the completion of due process. The acquired land parcels are strategically located in Sector Sigma-III and Sector 12 of Greater Noida, covering a total area of 17.5 acres. These sites are poised for significant development potential, offering up to 3.75 million square feet of residential space. The estimated revenue potential from these projects is projected to exceed INR 5,000 crore, driven by the development of premium residential apartments with various configurations.

Greater Noida’s appeal lies in its robust infrastructure, broad roads, and strategic proximity to both Delhi and Noida. Its connectivity to the upcoming Jewar airport further enhances its attractiveness for high-quality residential developments. This recent acquisition follows GPL’s successful launch of two major projects in FY 2023. The first, Godrej Tropical Isle in Sector 146, Noida, achieved a landmark booking value of INR 2,050 crore. The success of Tropical Isle led to the launch of Godrej Jardinia, which was sold out within the first quarter of the current fiscal year, generating a booking value of INR 2,375 crore. Collectively, these projects amassed over INR 4,400 crore in sales within a span of just three quarters.

A spokesperson from Godrej Properties commented, “The strong demand for our projects in the NCR region reflects the trust and confidence our customers place in us. We are optimistic that these new acquisitions will enhance our portfolio and cater to the robust market demand. Our focus will be on creating exceptional residential communities that offer long-term value to residents.”
