NAREDCO Maharashtra Hosts Key Real Estate Forum 2024

NAREDCO Maharashtra is set to host its flagship event, The Real Estate Forum (TREF) 2024, which promises to be a pivotal gathering for the residential real estate sector. Scheduled for August 29, 2024, at the prestigious Hotel Trident in Mumbai, the event is being organised with the expertise of JLL as the knowledge partner.

Now in its third edition, TREF 2024 is expected to significantly influence the trajectory of Maharashtra’s real estate industry, particularly focusing on the residential market. The forum will bring together an esteemed line-up of speakers, including Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and Housing Minister Shri Atul Save. With over 500 industry professionals anticipated to attend, the event is set to provide a dynamic platform for discussing the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities within the sector. A key highlight will be the presentation of a white paper by JLL, offering in-depth insights into the current state and future prospects of the real estate industry.

A spokesman from NAREDCO Maharashtra expressed high expectations for the event, stating, “The Real Estate Forum 2024 is not just another event; it is a crucial platform for shaping the future of Maharashtra’s real estate sector. This year, we are focusing on addressing the pressing challenges and leveraging the immense opportunities available in the residential market. Our goal is to drive meaningful policy discussions with the government to ensure that the industry receives the necessary support to thrive.” In addition to focusing on residential sector growth, the forum will delve into various critical topics, including government policies affecting real estate, the diversity within the residential market, challenges and opportunities in redevelopment, trends in real estate financing, and potential amendments to RERA 2.0. These discussions are expected to provide valuable insights for industry stakeholders and help chart a course for sustained growth in Maharashtra’s real estate sector.

JLL’s spokesperson from Research and REIS, India, highlighted the factors driving Mumbai’s real estate market, particularly the residential segment. “As Mumbai continues its expansion, the completion of key transit infrastructure projects and the imminent Navi Mumbai Airport are set to propel both residential and commercial sectors to new heights. We project that Mumbai’s residential sales value will surpass INR 1.35 lakh crore in 2024 and grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.8% to exceed INR 2 lakh crore by 2030. Developers have already acquired over 280 acres of land, translating into a development potential of approximately 42-48 million square feet, with an estimated sales potential of around INR 70,000 crore.”

TREF 2024 is poised to be a landmark event, featuring a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive workshops. The agenda will cover a broad spectrum of issues vital to the industry, ensuring that participants leave with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. By facilitating high-level discussions and knowledge sharing, NAREDCO Maharashtra aims to drive the residential sector towards a prosperous future.
