This ambitious initiative will see the installation of 6,051 high-tech cameras across 1,997 locations in Thane, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, and Badlapur.
The project, which is expected to significantly enhance the city’s security capabilities, will leverage advanced AI-enabled cameras, collaborative monitoring, and drone surveillance to prevent and detect crimes. The tender for the project has already been awarded to Siddharth Infratech and Services Pvt Ltd and Matrix Security and Surveillance Pvt Ltd. Thane, being a rapidly growing city with a large population, has witnessed a surge in various criminal activities, including property crimes, theft, and assaults.
