Tata Power Teams Up with R City Mall for EV Charging Stations

Tata Power, the leading electric-vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider in India, has joined forces with R City, a renowned shopping and entertainment destination in Mumbai, to install eight charging stations within the mall premises. These stations, including super-fast 60 kw charging points, aim to provide green mobility solutions for both four-wheeler and two-wheeler EV owners. The strategic partnership between Tata Power and R City is expected to contribute to the wider adoption of EVs in Maharashtra.

Located in the central suburb of Ghatkopar, the charging stations at R City mall will cater to EV owners’ diverse needs. Whether it’s a quick top-up during a short stop or a substantial charging session during a long shopping trip, customers will have the flexibility to charge their vehicles accordingly. By establishing EV charging infrastructure in popular public spaces like malls, Tata Power aims to make charging more convenient.

Tata Power has already energised over 3,000 public and semi-public chargers, along with more than 30,000 residential chargers equipped with fast-charging technology. These chargers are strategically located in malls, hotels, airports and office complexes, providing EV owners with convenient charging options. The company’s commitment to creating an EV-enabling infrastructure aligns with the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), which aims to establish a widespread EV charging network and ensure easy access to charging points.

The partnership between Tata Power and R City marks another step towards enabling smooth transitions to clean mobility. By establishing multiple charging stations across various industries, Tata Power is driving the adoption of EVs and supporting a sustainable and energy-efficient future.
