Mumbai Metro to Increase Frequency and Extend Operational Hours

Mumbai Metro’s Phase-2, consisting of Line 2A and Line 7, will add eight more services, increasing the frequency of trains during rush hours from 8 to 7.29 minutes. The lines connect Dahisar to Andheri and have helped ease traffic on New Link Road and between Dahisar East and DN Nagar. With the addition of services, the number of daily services will increase from 245 to 253.

The operational hours for Lines 2A and 7 are currently until 10:30 pm, but commuters have been demanding extended hours until at least 12 pm. Phase-1 of the Mumbai Metro, consisting of Line 1, is already operational, and work on Lines 2, 3, and 4 is set to begin.
