Star Air to Launch New Routes Connecting Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jharsuguda, and Raipur

Regional airline Star Air has announced the addition of new routes connecting Hyderabad and Lucknow with Jharsuguda and Raipur starting from January 1. This expansion increases the airline’s network to 24 destinations, furthering its commitment to enhancing connectivity between tier-2 and tier-3 cities across India.

The move aligns with Star Air’s strategic plan to foster regional connectivity, boost trade, and promote tourism. Speaking on the announcement, Star Air CEO Simran Singh Tiwana said, “The launch of new destinations connecting Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jharsuguda, and Raipur represents a significant step forward in Star Air’s mission to strengthen regional connectivity across India. These flights aim to provide passengers with greater convenience while contributing to the growth of trade, tourism, and economic opportunities in these regions.” Star Air’s fleet currently comprises nine aircraft, including four Embraer E175s and five Embraer E145s. The airline plans to grow its fleet to 25 aircraft over the next three years to support its mission of providing last-mile connectivity to underserved regions. The new routes are expected to create better travel options for passengers while stimulating economic growth in the connected regions. Enhanced connectivity to smaller cities like Jharsuguda and Raipur will pave the way for improved trade links and increased tourism potential, benefiting local communities and businesses. With this expansion, Star Air reinforces its position as a vital player in India’s regional aviation sector, bridging the gap between metro hubs and emerging cities.
