India Aims to Become the World’s Top Domestic Aviation Hub, Says K Rammohan Naidu

India’s civil aviation sector, which has witnessed remarkable growth over the past decade, is set to achieve the next milestone of becoming the world’s top domestic aviation hub, according to Union Minister K Rammohan Naidu. Speaking on Friday during the launch of the centenary celebration logo for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, Naidu highlighted the significant progress India has made in the aviation industry, citing the expansion of airports and a surge in passenger traffic as key factors driving this growth.

“Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we have pushed all the boundaries, and now we are the third-largest domestic civil aviation hub in the world,” Naidu said. He emphasized that India’s aviation sector is poised to build on this success and further strengthen its position on the global aviation map. Naidu’s statement reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to bolster infrastructure and support the aviation industry’s rapid expansion. The growth trajectory of India’s aviation sector has been fueled by investments in airport infrastructure, increasing demand for air travel, and government initiatives aimed at improving connectivity and accessibility across the country. As India continues to scale its aviation capabilities, the government is focused on elevating the country to the forefront of the global aviation industry.
