Tripura Allocates INR 27,000 Crore for Satellite Towns and Improved Infrastructure
Tripura government has announced a landmark infrastructure development plan, allocating INR 27,000 crore in this year’s budget. Chief Minister Manik Saha revealed plans to establish three satellite towns near Agartala, Dharmanagar, and Udaipur. Although both projects are completed, their non-operation due to unrest has hindered potential trade and connectivity improvements with Bangladesh, particularly with the Chittagong sea port. Despite these setbacks, the overall response to the government’s plans has been positive. The creation of satellite towns and the enhancement of medical services signal a bright future for Tripura.
