Navi Mumbai Housing Scheme Registration Extended Till January 10, 2025

In response to an overwhelming demand, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has extended the registration deadline for its popular ‘My Preferred CIDCO Home’ housing scheme. Initially slated to close on December 26, 2024, the online registration has now been extended until January 10, 2025. This extension allows more prospective homebuyers, particularly from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Lower Income Groups (LIG), to secure a place in this much-anticipated affordable housing scheme.

The scheme offers 26,000 homes across various nodes in Navi Mumbai, including Vashi, Bamandongari, Kharkopar, Kharghar, Taloja, Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel, and Kalamboli. These homes are made available under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) initiative, designed to promote affordable housing for low-income families. The availability of these homes is a significant step toward addressing the housing shortage in Navi Mumbai, a city known for its excellent infrastructure and connectivity. As of December 11, CIDCO had received over 1,00,000 applications for the scheme, marking a record milestone and underlining the scheme’s immense popularity. To accommodate the continuing rush of applicants, CIDCO decided to extend the registration period, offering more time for interested individuals to apply.

The scheme’s flexibility has also been a major draw for applicants. For the first time ever, prospective homeowners can choose the floor on which they wish to reside, further personalising the home-buying experience. In addition, CIDCO has relaxed some of the documentation requirements, including the barcoded Domicile Certificate and the notarised affidavit on stamp paper (valued at Rs.100 or Rs.500), making the application process more accessible. Applicants can register online via the official CIDCO website at https://cidcohomes.com. For further assistance, a dedicated helpline has been set up at 9930870000 and 8062368000. This initiative aligns with CIDCO’s ongoing efforts to offer quality living options with top-notch infrastructure and construction in one of Mumbai’s most rapidly developing regions, making Navi Mumbai an increasingly attractive location for residents.
