Hyderabad Metro Hosts Ugadi Festival at Ameerpet

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has announced a three-day Ugadi festival at Ameerpet Metro Station. Kicking off on March 27, the event will continue through March 29, aiming to enhance the commuting experience for the city’s metro passengers.The festival is part of L&T Metro’s ongoing efforts to enrich the travel experience by introducing cultural activities and community engagement. This unique initiative allows passengers to experience the spirit of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, in the heart of one of Hyderabad’s busiest transit points.

Ameerpet Metro Station will be transformed with festive décor, creating a lively atmosphere for commuters. As part of the celebrations, the station will feature a flea market, offering an assortment of traditional goods and festive treats under the “Fun Flea Fiesta” initiative. Additionally, there will be live performances showcasing local cultural art forms, making the daily commute not just a necessity, but a cultural experience.
NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), shared his thoughts on the initiative, saying, “Ugadi is a time for renewal and celebration. We are excited to bring this cultural celebration to Ameerpet Metro Station, providing our passengers a unique way to connect with the local traditions and festivities.”

L&TMRHL, in its commitment to providing an enjoyable and inclusive commuting environment, has been organising such events regularly to make metro travel more engaging. KVB Reddy, Managing Director & CEO of L&TMRHL, reiterated the company’s focus on enhancing the overall experience for commuters, saying, “We aim to create memorable experiences for all passengers.
