The committee has also emphasized the importance of upgrading and repairing primary health centres, ensuring prompt medical treatments.

Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, who chaired the meeting, suggested the creation of an integrated tourism development plan considering the district’s historical sites, religious places, forts, and monuments. He assured that funds would be allocated through the District Planning Committee and urged efforts to secure additional funding from corporate social responsibility initiatives and the state tourism department. The approved plan also includes provisions for rural development, civic facilities, energy development, women and children empowerment, and skillful employment generation. Specific allocations include ₹71.20 crore for agriculture and allied services, ₹175 crore for rural development, ₹85 crore for energy development, ₹28.44 crore for women and children empowerment, and ₹16.65 crore for skillful employment generation.

The committee has directed concerned agencies to secure administrative approval for sanctioned works under the District Annual Plan by May 31 and complete all projects by the end of December. Elected representatives are required to submit development work details to the administration by May 15. Regular reviews will be conducted to monitor progress, with an emphasis on timely, high-quality execution. This comprehensive development plan aims to address the diverse needs of the Pune district, focusing on sustainable growth and equitable development across all sectors. The emphasis on education, healthcare, and tourism development aligns with the district’s vision of creating a smart, inclusive, and resilient community.
