Indian Railways has launched the Mumbai to Saharsa Amrit Bharat Express, offering affordable and comfortable travel between Maharashtra and Bihar.
This new service aims to provide enhanced connectivity and convenience for passengers. The Amrit Bharat Express, train number 11015, departs from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai every Friday at 12:00 hrs and arrives in Saharsa at 02:00 hrs on Sunday. The return journey, train number 11016, departs from Saharsa every Sunday at 04:20 hrs and reaches LTT at 15:45 hrs. The train covers a distance of approximately 1,950 km, passing through 23 stations, including Thane, Kalyan, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Hasanpur Road, Salauna, and Khagaria.
The fare for the Mumbai to Saharsa Amrit Bharat Express is set at ₹870. This pricing aims to make the service accessible to a wide range of passengers, promoting affordable travel options. The Amrit Bharat Express is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable journey. The train features 22 coaches, including 12 sleeper class coaches and 8 general unreserved coaches. Passengers can enjoy facilities such as horizontal sliding windows, dust-sealed gangways, semi-permanent couplers, and an aerosol-based fire suppression system in toilets and electrical cubicles. Additionally, the train offers electric outlets, reading lights, and bottle holders for passenger convenience.
