New Metro Timings Implemented in Navi Mumbai

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced a revised operational schedule for Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, which connects Belapur to Pendhar.

Effective from May 11, 2025, the new timetable will apply to Sundays and public holidays, facilitating essential preventive maintenance without compromising commuter convenience. Under the updated schedule, metro services will commence at 6:00 AM from both Belapur and Pendhar stations. The final train will depart from Belapur at 10:00 PM and from Pendhar at 9:45 PM. Trains will operate at 15-minute intervals throughout the day on these designated days.

CIDCO officials have emphasized that this adjustment is aimed at ensuring the optimal upkeep of metro infrastructure while maintaining consistent service levels for passengers. By allocating dedicated time for maintenance activities, the initiative seeks to uphold safety standards and enhance the overall commuter experience. It’s important to note that the revised schedule is exclusive to Sundays and public holidays. Regular metro operations on weekdays and Saturdays will continue as per the existing timetable.

The Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, operational since November 2023, spans 11.1 kilometers and includes 11 stations, serving as a vital link between the central business district of Belapur and the industrial hub of Taloja. This metro line has significantly contributed to reducing road congestion and promoting sustainable urban mobility in the region. Looking ahead, CIDCO has plans to extend the metro network to further enhance connectivity. A proposed extension from Pendhar to the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is underway, aiming to provide seamless transit options for air travelers and bolster economic growth in the area.

Commuters are encouraged to stay informed about the latest schedule updates and plan their journeys accordingly. Real-time information and further details can be accessed through CIDCO’s official communication channels and at metro stations.
