The city roads have been in battered state for months, undulated surface of
both roads results in uncomfortable and risky rides. The mayoral council of
the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) approved nearly INR 4 crore for
the restoration of two roads — Kali Krishna Tagore Street in Burrabazar
and a stretch of Cossipore Road in north Kolkata.
Both the roads have been in a battered state for the past few months. The
undulated surface of both roads results in uncomfortable and risky rides. The
repairs will be undertaken on a nearly one km stretch of Cossipore Road, between the Cossipore Road and Jheel Road crossing and the Chitpore bridge to
the south.
