MIC Electronics secures 1.71 crore railway orders

MIC Electronics Limited has secured two significant contracts from Indian Railways, collectively valued at approximately ₹1.71 crore.

These orders underscore the company’s growing role in modernising railway infrastructure through advanced electronic solutions. The first contract, valued at ₹1.11 crore, was awarded by the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) railway division of the East Central Railway zone. MIC Electronics is tasked with installing Electronic Coach Indication Boards (CIB) on Platform No. 7 at DDU station, fare display boards for UTS/PRS counters, and a video wall. These installations aim to improve passenger information dissemination and station aesthetics. The second contract, amounting to ₹60 lakh, involves the supply of Emergency Lighting Units (ELU) to Indian Railways. These units are designed to enhance safety during power outages and emergencies. The ELUs are undergoing pilot testing on Vande Bharat trains, with final approval expected within 15 to 25 days, pending successful trials.

Both projects are scheduled for completion within six months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance. MIC Electronics has affirmed that there is no related party interest in these transactions, ensuring transparency and adherence to procurement guidelines. These contracts reflect MIC Electronics’ expanding footprint in the railway sector, particularly in the realm of electronic display systems and safety technologies. The company’s previous projects, such as the installation of train display boards and coach guidance systems in the Ratlam Division, have set benchmarks in enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency. The successful execution of these projects will not only reinforce MIC Electronics’ reputation as a reliable technology partner for Indian Railways but also contribute to the broader goal of modernising the nation’s railway infrastructure.

Following the announcement of these orders, MIC Electronics’ shares have seen positive movement, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s growth prospects within the public infrastructure sector. As MIC Electronics continues to innovate and deliver advanced solutions, its role in shaping the future of Indian Railways becomes increasingly pivotal. The company’s focus on safety, efficiency, and passenger experience aligns with the broader objectives of modernising India’s railway network.
