The Indian Railways is preparing to launch a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Agra and Jaipur, with a test run scheduled for the third week of June 2025.
This semi-high-speed train aims to reduce travel time between the two cities to approximately 4.5 hours, significantly enhancing connectivity for both tourists and daily commuters. Currently, Agra is well-connected to various cities through the Vande Bharat Express, including routes to Udaipur and Varanasi. The introduction of the Agra Jaipur Vande Bharat Express will further streamline travel for tourists visiting the Taj Mahal and other heritage sites in Agra, offering a seamless journey to the Pink City. Upon approval from the Railway Board, the Agra Jaipur Vande Bharat Express will operate with a morning departure from Agra and an evening return from Jaipur.
