Kalladka Flyover Improves Bengaluru Mangaluru Route

The Kalladka flyover, part of the four-lane expansion of National Highway 75 (NH-75) between Bengaluru and Mangaluru, has been partially opened to traffic, providing significant relief to commuters.

This development addresses long-standing traffic congestion issues in Kalladka town, improving travel efficiency on this vital route. The 2.1-kilometre flyover is a key component of the NH-75 expansion project, which aims to enhance road safety and reduce travel time between Bengaluru and Mangaluru. According to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), significant progress has been made on the project, with 85.63% of the work completed between B.C. Road and Periyashanthi, and 95.17% completed between Periyashanthi and Adda Hole.

The partial opening of the flyover has been welcomed by residents and commuters who have endured years of traffic disruptions due to ongoing construction. The improved infrastructure is expected to alleviate congestion, reduce travel time, and enhance road safety for all users. While the partial opening marks a significant milestone, work continues on the remaining sections of the NH-75 expansion project. NHAI officials are committed to completing the project promptly, ensuring that the full benefits of the upgraded highway are realised for the public.

The partial opening of the Kalladka flyover is a positive step towards improving transportation infrastructure on NH-75. As the project progresses, it is anticipated that the completed flyover will further enhance connectivity, support economic growth, and contribute to the overall development of the region.
