Heavy rainfall continues to disrupt life in Kerala and Karnataka, with red alerts issued and schools closed in several districts. In Kerala, the IMD has issued a red alert for five districts: Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Malappuram.
These areas are expected to receive very heavy rainfall, with over 20 cm of rain in 24 hours. As a precautionary measure, schools and colleges have been closed in these districts. Schools and colleges have been closed in these districts as a precautionary measure. The heavy rains have caused flooding in several areas, damaging homes and infrastructure. Authorities have urged residents to stay alert and follow safety guidelines. Meanwhile, in Guwahati, the IMD has predicted cloudy weather with a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next two to three days.
