Tamil Nadu Awards AVP Infracon Rs 160M

AVP Infracon has bagged a Rs 160 million bridge construction contract in Salem, signalling a significant push for improved rural connectivity and sustainable infrastructure in the state. The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Superintending Engineer of the Highways NABARD & Rural Roads Circle, Salem. This move forms part of Tamil Nadu’s broader strategy to bolster rural transport.

The awarded project involves constructing a key bridge as part of the government’s commitment to improving road access and last-mile connectivity in under-served regions. With rural road development increasingly tied to climate and equity targets, officials said that the project will aim for durable, eco-sensitive design while adhering to state-level engineering and environmental standards.
