Bengaluru sees showers, rain to intensify midweek

Bengaluru witnessed light showers and breezy conditions on Saturday, offering residents a welcome break from heat and humidity. The city saw mild temperatures between 20.3°C and 28.8°C and minimal rainfall of 0.27 mm. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that intermittent rain and cloud cover will continue over the coming week, with heavier showers expected midweek and a likely wet end to the week.

Saturday was marked by light drizzle and a cool breeze in Bengaluru. The temperature ranged from 20.3°C to 28.8°C, with the IMD recording 0.27 mm of rainfall. Cloudy skies with brief sunny intervals created pleasant outdoor conditions. Wind speeds touched 32 km/h, while humidity hovered around 69%. With a low UV index of 2.4, the day proved comfortable for both indoor and outdoor activities across the city.

According to the IMD, Sunday will see partly cloudy skies but no rain, with temperatures between 20.8°C and 25.8°C—ideal for outdoor plans. Monday is expected to be warmer, ranging from 19.6°C to 29.4°C, with cloudy skies and reduced humidity. Tuesday will likely remain overcast, with temperatures from 20.5°C to 27.3°C, and a slight chance of rain in the evening, indicating a possible shift toward wetter conditions.

By Wednesday, rainfall is predicted to rise, with 1.77 mm of precipitation expected. Temperatures will range from 19.5°C to 26.9°C. While Thursday may bring clear skies and sunny weather, temperatures will peak again at 29.4°C. Residents may enjoy a brief break from rain before conditions change again. Humidity and breeze levels are likely to remain moderate, maintaining comfort despite rising daytime temperatures.

Friday is forecasted to be the wettest day of the week, with an 84% chance of rain and temperatures between 21.1°C and 28.1°C. This aligns with widespread rainfall patterns across Karnataka over the past week. With monsoon activity intensifying, officials may issue advisories for low-lying areas. Commuters should prepare for possible delays due to slippery roads, while residents are advised to keep rain gear handy.

Bengaluru’s weather this week will be a mix of mild sunshine, breezy intervals, and rain-filled skies. With light showers already making their mark, the city is gearing up for increased precipitation by midweek. As Karnataka continues to experience monsoon showers, Bengaluru residents can expect refreshing conditions interspersed with stormy spells. Staying updated on daily forecasts will help commuters and outdoor enthusiasts navigate the shifting weather patterns smoothly.
