From luxury homes with “basement pools” to commuters wading through knee-deep water, the situation once again exposed the city’s lack of preparedness. Netizens reacted with frustration and dark humor, likening the streets to Venice and mocking real estate developers promising high-end living while failing to offer dry roads.

One user sarcastically described Gurugram as offering “free adventure rides,” with potholes and flooded roads delivering daily doses of adrenaline.
