Tamil Nadu Set To Gain From New Rs550 Crore Industrial Park In Sriperumbudur

Tamil Nadu is set to receive a significant economic boost with a leading developer’s announcement of a ₹550 crore investment in a new industrial and logistics park. Strategically located in the high-growth Sriperumbudur-Oragadam belt, this project will span approximately 60 acres, offering substantial development potential. It underscores the region’s increasing importance as a multi-sectoral industrial hub, promising to generate significant employment opportunities and further enhance the state’s robust manufacturing and logistics infrastructure, contributing to sustainable economic growth.

The upcoming park, planned to commence construction by March–April 2026, is anticipated to create over 1,500 job opportunities in the region, providing a substantial boost to local employment. This investment follows a prior commitment in August 2024, where the same developer invested ₹450 crore in a Grade A Industrial & Logistics Park in Hosur, also in Tamil Nadu. The combined investment in the state now exceeds ₹1,000 crore, reflecting a growing footprint in the Southern industrial landscape.

The Sriperumbudur-Oragadam corridor is already recognized as a thriving industrial ecosystem, hosting numerous major global manufacturers across automotive, electronics, and engineering sectors. Its strategic importance is further augmented by ongoing large-scale infrastructure developments. These include major expressways, a peripheral ring road, a new airport, a multi-modal logistics park, and an aerospace park. Such integrated development solidifies the region’s position as a high-potential node within the broader industrial corridor, attracting further investment and fostering sustainable economic expansion.

This investment signifies a commitment to creating advanced, eco-friendly industrial ecosystems, promoting zero net carbon operations. By developing sustainable infrastructure, the project enhances regional connectivity and creates equitable economic opportunities. It strategically positions the area for future growth, benefiting local communities and reinforcing the state’s leadership in green industrial development.
