Indian Railways Announces Special Trains for Raksha Bandhan Festival

Indian Railways has announced the operation of special train services connecting Mumbai to various destinations. These special trains aim to accommodate the surge in travelers and provide convenient options for those celebrating the festival. Railway will operate two special trains between Mumbai and Nagpur to cater to the festive rush. Reservations for these special trains are open at all computerized reservation centers and on the IRCTC website. To facilitate travel between Mumbai and Pune during the festival, Central Railway has announced four special trains.

These trains will halt at stations such as Daund, Ahmednagar, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, and Wardha. Booking for these services is available through the IRCTC website, Rail Connect App, or railway counters. Western Railway has announced special trains connecting Mumbai to Madgaon and Kolhapur to cater to the festive travel demand.

These trains will halt at stations including Ratnagiri, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali. Reservations can be made through the IRCTC website, Rail Connect App, or railway counters. Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance to secure their travel plans during the festive period. Tickets can be booked online through the IRCTC website or mobile app, or at authorized railway reservation counters.

It is recommended to check the availability and schedule of the special trains on the official IRCTC website or through the NTES (National Train Enquiry System) app for real-time updates. These special train services aim to provide convenient and comfortable travel options for passengers during the Raksha Bandhan festival, ensuring that families can celebrate the occasion together without the hassle of overcrowded trains.
