IMD Warns of Heavy Rain in Kozhikode, Kannur, and Wayanad

As Kerala grapples with soaring temperatures, relief may be on the horizon for the northern districts as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a yellow alert for isolated heavy rain in Kozhikode, Kannur, and Wayanad on Friday.

The forecast comes as a welcome relief for residents and farmers, offering respite from the scorching summer heat that has gripped the region. The IMD’s weather bulletin highlights the possibility of rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within a 24-hour period in the identified districts.
