Finolex Industries Appoints Rambabu Sanka Technical Director To Enhance Chemical Manufacturing Excellence

Finolex Industries Ltd has appointed Rambabu Sanka as Technical Director, signalling a strategic move to reinforce the company’s manufacturing and operational capabilities. With nearly 40 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, Sanka is expected to drive process optimisation, plant efficiency, and long-term growth for the firm, a senior company official said.

Sanka, aged 63, has an extensive background in VCM and PVC operations, having served previously as President – Technical at Finolex Industries. His deep familiarity with the company’s operations equips him to implement strategic initiatives and enhance technical processes across the organisation. “His experience positions him to elevate operational standards and support sustainable manufacturing practices,” the official added. Over the course of his career, Sanka has held leadership roles at prominent chemical and petrochemical firms, including TCI Sanmar Chemicals, Reliance Industries Limited, Chemplast Sanmar, TECNIMONT, and National Fertilizers Limited. His work spans India, Egypt, and the Middle East, with notable contributions in process safety management, debottlenecking projects, plant expansions, and high-performance team leadership.

Industry experts noted that Sanka’s track record includes improving VCM/PVC plant capacities, reducing operational costs, and achieving rated production capacities. His expertise spans key chemical units such as EDC, PVC, and Caustic, making him particularly well-suited to address Finolex’s ongoing operational and sustainability objectives. An official said, “We are confident his leadership will enhance productivity while maintaining environmental compliance.” Finolex Industries has emphasised that Sanka’s appointment aligns with the company’s strategic priorities of process optimisation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. The company’s broader vision includes strengthening India’s chemical and petrochemical sector while adhering to sustainable manufacturing practices, which complement national climate and industrial policy goals.

The appointment also underscores Finolex’s commitment to investing in technical leadership to remain competitive in an evolving market. Analysts suggest that reinforcing internal technical expertise can accelerate innovation, reduce resource inefficiencies, and support the delivery of high-quality products to meet growing domestic and international demand. With Rambabu Sanka at the helm of technical operations, Finolex Industries is poised to consolidate its manufacturing strength while exploring advanced process optimisation and sustainable growth opportunities. This move reflects the company’s focus on future-ready operations, combining legacy expertise with contemporary management and environmental stewardship.
