Bengaluru NBR Group Wins Excellence In High Rise Project Award 2025 For Soul Of The Seasons

Bengaluru’s evolving residential skyline received a significant industry endorsement this week as a large high-rise housing project along Sarjapur Road was recognised at a national real estate awards platform, highlighting the city’s growing shift towards sustainability-led urban development. The award underscores how premium housing projects are increasingly being evaluated not only for scale and design, but also for environmental sensitivity and long-term liveability.

The recognition was conferred at a recently held edition of a national business awards programme that celebrates excellence across infrastructure and the built environment. Industry observers say such honours reflect changing benchmarks in Indian real estate, where urban resilience, wellness-driven planning and efficient land use are becoming central to project evaluation. Located near Mullur in south-east Bengaluru, the awarded residential development spans nearly ten acres and adopts a low ground coverage approach, with a substantial portion of land reserved for open green spaces. Urban planners note that this model responds to a pressing citywide challenge balancing vertical growth with access to breathable, inclusive public environments in high-density corridors such as Sarjapur Road. A senior executive associated with the project said the development was conceptualised around the idea of resort-style living within an urban setting, blending architecture with landscape planning. “The intent was to create homes that reduce stress on residents while minimising stress on the environment,” the executive said, adding that large contiguous green zones help mitigate urban heat and improve microclimates.

From a construction perspective, the project employs advanced formwork systems designed to enhance structural accuracy, reduce material wastage and improve building longevity. According to construction experts, such technologies can significantly cut lifecycle emissions when paired with efficient design and water-sensitive landscaping. The focus on durable construction is particularly relevant in Bengaluru, where rapid development has often outpaced infrastructure resilience. The project’s planning framework draws on elemental design philosophies, integrating water bodies, green corridors and naturally ventilated layouts. Urban design specialists point out that these features contribute to passive cooling, lower energy consumption and healthier indoor environments key attributes as cities work towards net-zero and climate-resilient housing goals. Awards of this nature, analysts suggest, are also indicative of a broader market shift. Homebuyers in Bengaluru’s premium segment are increasingly prioritising wellness, open spaces and sustainability alongside connectivity and amenities. This changing demand is gradually reshaping developer strategies, pushing the industry towards more inclusive and environmentally responsible urban housing models.

As Bengaluru continues to expand outward and upward, the challenge for policymakers and developers alike will be to replicate such approaches at scale, including in mid-income and affordable housing segments. While industry recognition highlights best practices, experts caution that long-term impact will depend on how widely these principles are adopted across the city’s rapidly growing residential landscape.
