Vadodara and Navi Mumbai are now directly connected through a new daily air service by IndiGo Airlines, which commenced operations on Tuesday. The inaugural flight departed Vadodara Airport at 2:15 pm, attended by airport officials, members of the Airport Advisory Committee, IndiGo management, and other stakeholders. Passenger response was positive, with 170 travellers departing Vadodara and 80 arriving from Navi Mumbai on the maiden service. Operations adhered strictly to the scheduled timings. According to an airport official, the new connection will provide a reliable alternative for both business and leisure travellers, reducing transit times compared with conventional road and rail travel. “This service strengthens the air mobility network across the western region, promoting economic activity and supporting regional trade,” the official added.
