LG Electronics India has taken a strategic lead in the residential cooling market by launching a comprehensive suite of 2026 Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) star rated air conditioners, aligning its portfolio with updated efficiency benchmarks ahead of the peak summer season. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s revised star rating system — which took effect at the start of 2026 — imposes stricter performance criteria on air conditioner efficiency than under previous norms, effectively raising the bar for what qualifies as a 5-star unit.
