India’s IoT landscape, Hyderabad-based spacetech startup Dhruva Space has announced an expanded collaboration with French satellite operator Kin\u00e9is. This partnership aims to introduce Kin\u00e9is\u2019 IoT connectivity services in India and launch an IoT payload on Dhruva’s P-30 satellite, expected to take to the skies in late 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dhruva Space will facilitate Kin\u00e9is IoT services in India while developing innovative applications supported by Kin\u00e9is\u2019 25-satellite constellation. This collaboration encompasses a joint satellite mission, designed to bolster India\u2019s space capabilities.<\/p>\n

The partnership promises to deliver cost-effective, advanced, and reliable IoT solutions. It also aims to drive technological advancements and develop new applications and services tailored to the Indian market. The full-scale global commercial service availability of Kin\u00e9is IoT is scheduled to commence after the complete deployment of Kin\u00e9is\u2019 constellation in early 2025. Dhruva Space will support this deployment through the development and large-scale manufacturing of end-user terminals in India. Sanjay Nekkanti, CEO of Dhruva Space, expressed optimism about the enhanced partnership, emphasising its potential to deliver innovative IoT services that will drive digital transformation and create new opportunities for businesses and communities across India. Alexandre Tisserant, CEO of Kin\u00e9is, highlighted the shared ambition to provide high-performance spatial IoT services for the Indian market.<\/p>\n

Dhruva Space underscored the significance of Kin\u00e9is IoT constellation’s mission to connect objects globally, even in remote locations, and transmit essential data to users in near real-time. This capability is crucial for optimising areas that pose major challenges to humanity, such as natural disaster prevention, agriculture, and the traceability of wild and farmed animals.<\/p>\n
