Jharkhand’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure, Chief Minister Hemant Soren visited the Siramtoli-Mecon flyover construction site in Ranchi on Tuesday. His on-site inspection highlighted the rapid progress of the project, which is expected to significantly alleviate traffic congestion in the growing city. The project, which began in August 2022, is progressing at an accelerated pace and is set to be completed ahead of its deadline, following the success of the Kantatoli flyover, which was inaugurated in October 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Siramtoli-Mecon flyover, spanning 2.34 kilometers, will feature a 132-meter stretch over a railway line and is being constructed at a total cost of Rs 340 crore. The project aims to enhance connectivity in Ranchi and ease the bottlenecks that frequently plague the city\u2019s roads. This flyover is especially crucial for residents who have faced increasing traffic jams as the city\u2019s population and infrastructure demands continue to grow.<\/p>\n

During his visit, CM Soren expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far. He was accompanied by his wife, Kalpana Soren, a JMM MLA, along with senior officials from the Road Construction Department. Soren emphasized that the state government is committed to completing the project as soon as possible, recognizing the importance of this development for Ranchi\u2019s future. \u201cThe efforts to finish the project ahead of schedule are commendable. We completed the Kantatoli flyover ahead of time, and we aim to do the same with this one,\u201d Soren said during his inspection. This proactive approach reflects Soren\u2019s hands-on involvement in the development of critical infrastructure projects in Jharkhand. The successful completion of the Siramtoli-Mecon flyover will mark another milestone in the state government\u2019s efforts to modernize Ranchi\u2019s transportation network. As work continues on the flyover, the people of Ranchi are eagerly anticipating the improvements it will bring to daily commutes and the city\u2019s overall mobility.
