Among the approvals granted, a significant number were processed through streamlined digital platforms, showcasing the GHMC’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and transparency. The majority of these approvals were expedited under the Instant Approval route, demonstrating the city’s progressive approach towards simplifying bureaucratic procedures. Additionally, occupancy certificates were issued for numerous completed structures, indicating a robust pipeline of new developments ready for use. A striking feature of this year’s approvals is the rise in high-rise constructions. A total of 102 high-rise buildings received approvals, including 47 residential towers, 28 commercial establishments, and 27 institutional projects. The tallest among these is a residential complex in Kondapur, featuring eight towers with four basement levels, a ground floor, and 49 upper floors, reaching an impressive height of 165.95 meters. This towering structure is set to redefine Hyderabad’s skyline, catering to the growing demand for urban living spaces.

The GHMC has also introduced the BuildNow application, powered by AI-based technology, to expedite the issuance of building and layout permissions. This digital initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of adopting innovative solutions to meet the city’s rapid urbanisation needs. By leveraging advanced technology, the GHMC aims to create a more citizen-centric and efficient service delivery model. The distribution of approvals indicates a diverse range of developments across the city. Non-high-rise buildings accounted for the majority, with residential projects leading the way, followed by commercial and institutional developments. High-rise constructions, though fewer in number, are significantly taller and more complex, reflecting the city’s trend towards vertical growth. The surge in high-rise developments, particularly in areas like Kokapet and Puppalaguda, is reshaping Hyderabad’s urban landscape. Projects such as the 59-floor Candeur Skyline and the 58-floor SAS Crown are among the tallest structures in South India, contributing to the city’s modern skyline and attracting investment in the real estate sector.

This growth trajectory highlights Hyderabad’s transformation into a major metropolitan hub, driven by rapid urbanisation, economic growth, and infrastructural development. However, the city’s rapid expansion necessitates a balanced approach to urban planning, ensuring that growth is sustainable, environmentally friendly, and equitable for all residents. As the city continues to evolve, the GHMC’s role in regulating and facilitating urban development becomes increasingly critical. The focus on digital governance, efficient service delivery, and sustainable urban planning will play a key role in shaping Hyderabad’s future as a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient city.

Hyderabad Issues Over 13,000 Building Permits in 2024-2025

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has reported a remarkable surge in construction activities during the 2024-2025 financial year, issuing a total of 13,421 building,

[407,146,147,148
68633,68985,11484,583,8449,68986,2329,68987,6497,333
post-38202","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-hyderabad","category-latest","category-news","category-urban-news","tag-building-permits","tag-buildnow-application","tag-digital-governance","tag-ghmc","tag-high-rise-buildings","tag-hyderabad-construction","tag-real-estate-growth","tag-skyscrapers","tag-telangana","tag-urban-development
["GET
