Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation
\nsolutions, has announced its commitment to support skilling initiatives in
\nKarnataka. The company will provide smart infrastructure and increase women
\nhiring for its manufacturing facility in Mysuru, in collaboration with the
\nGovernment Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Belavadi.<\/p>\n
Schneider Electric’s contribution includes setting up an electrical lab at the
\ninstitute, equipped with the latest digital and smart energy meters, MCBs
\n(miniature circuit breakers), switches, and modern house wiring models. This
\nlab will provide students with hands-on exposure to the latest technological
\ndevelopments in the electrical field.<\/p>\n
Schneider Electric has a significant presence in Karnataka, where it trains
\napproximately 3,375 youth annually through around 45 skill development
\ncentres, including 16 Women Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The company
\nhas also established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, in partnership
\nwith the Karnataka Skill Ministry and the Ministry of Education, France. The
\nCoE focuses on training trainers from ITIs and polytechnic institutes in
