The Letter of Acceptance (LOA), recently issued by Central Railway, pertains to modification work on the Overhead Equipment (OHE) for converting the existing 1\u00d725 KV system to a more efficient 2\u00d725 KV Auto Transformer (AT) feeding system. This upgrade will be carried out in the Itarsi\u2013Amla section under the Nagpur Division. The improved traction system is designed to support freight trains carrying up to 3,000 metric tonnes (MT), a move expected to boost the operational capacity and efficiency of one of the region\u2019s most critical freight corridors.<\/h4>\n<h4>The total contract value stands at \u20b9115,79,37,241.11, inclusive of all applicable taxes. RVNL confirmed the award in a stock exchange filing, clarifying that the contract was secured in the normal course of business. Incorporated in 2003, RVNL functions as the construction arm of the Ministry of Railways, tasked with implementing high-priority transportation infrastructure projects across India.
