{"id":4998,"date":"2023-11-09T06:03:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T06:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/urbanacres.in\/?p=4998"},"modified":"2023-11-09T06:03:00","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T06:03:00","slug":"bwssb-writes-to-cnn-to-prioritise-drinking-water-needs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livzzy.in\/?p=4998","title":{"rendered":"BWSSB Writes to CNN to Prioritise Drinking Water Needs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amidst a lack of water in the Cauvery river basin that supplies drinking water to<br \/>\nthe city,\u00a0the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has<br \/>\nwritten to Cauvery Neeravari Nigam (CNN) asking it to \u201con a priority basis<br \/>\nreserve\u201d adequate drinking water for the city from Kabini and Krishna Raja<br \/>\nSagara (KRS) reservoirs for Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>This comes in the backdrop of a looming threat of drinking water shortage in<br \/>\nthe city, as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are locked in a pitched battle to share<br \/>\nCauvery river water.
