The tour included visits to several high-profile infrastructure and tourism projects that are currently underway and reflects a hands-on governance approach focused on accelerating progress, addressing local needs, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for residents.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning his day at Mangerjung Mangsari the Chief Minister reviewed the status of the ongoing works at the site and instructed the contractors and concerned departments to increase the pace of execution. He urged everyone involved to treat the project as a high priority and to avoid any further delays in its delivery. Addressing the Tourism Minister Tshering T Bhutia directly he called for regular monitoring of all tourism infrastructure works across the year adding that the Mangerjung Mangsari project must be reviewed consistently and with full seriousness. This directive comes at a time when Sikkim is aggressively pushing its tourism agenda as a key driver of economic growth in the post-pandemic landscape.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continuing his visit the Chief Minister then inspected the site of the upcoming Peacock Park in Baiguney under the Salghari-Zoom constituency. At the site he engaged with engineers local panchayats tourism officials and various stakeholders offering specific inputs on design and purpose. He stated that the project is intended to serve the dual role of attracting eco-tourism and improving the local economy by generating employment. His remarks emphasized the need to integrate tourism planning with community upliftment ensuring that the benefits of tourism are not limited to infrastructure but extend to real socio-economic outcomes for local families.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Chakung the Chief Minister inspected the construction progress at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University of Excellence a flagship educational initiative of the state. He reviewed the pace of construction and urged engineers and academic planners to maintain international standards in both infrastructure and curriculum design. According to the CM the vision for the university extends beyond regional impact with plans to attract students from other parts of India and abroad. He added that the institution would offer specialized subjects that align with evolving global employment trends while simultaneously equipping local students with advanced academic resources. The CM assured the public that the project will be completed soon and reiterated that his government is committed to making Chakung a major hub for higher education in the region.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister also paid a visit to the upcoming LD Kazi Adventure Sports facility and LD Kazi Museum projects named in honour of Late LD Kazi a respected leader in Sikkim\u2019s history. He emphasized that these projects will serve as a tribute to the former leader\u2019s contributions while also opening up new opportunities in tourism and youth development. According to him the museum in particular must be more than a commemorative space it should become a living archive that educates and inspires future generations.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Later he proceeded to inspect the Dak Bungalow at Chakung where he reviewed the site\u2019s condition and ongoing construction. He interacted with officials present and directed them to resolve any outstanding logistical or interdepartmental issues quickly. Reaffirming his government\u2019s zero-tolerance stance on unnecessary delays he stated that timely delivery is non-negotiable and every official must be accountable for project deadlines.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Vrindavan Dodak the Chief Minister was joined by Speaker MN Sherpa and his advisor Rohit Raj Maharaj as he assessed progress on yet another key infrastructure project. After a thorough on-site review he issued instructions to expedite the remaining work and expressed his expectation that the construction be completed without further delays. His visit included conversations with contractors and engineers where he reinforced that every delay costs not only money but also public trust.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before concluding his inspection the CM visited Phuntsok Choeling Monastery in Sribadam where he offered prayers and engaged in a quiet reflection of Sikkim\u2019s cultural legacy. The visit served as a reminder that development in Sikkim must remain sensitive to its spiritual and cultural foundations. As part of his tour he also made an unscheduled stop at the roadside organic vegetable stalls near Mangerjung Palace where he spoke with local vendors and assessed the challenges they face. He directed the Soreng District Collector to initiate measures for installing basic amenities at the haat area such as shelter drinking water and sanitation. This moment underlined his administration\u2019s policy of micro-level responsiveness and field engagement.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister was accompanied by several senior officials during his day-long inspection including Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Tshering T Bhutia Minister for Forest and Environment Pintsho Namgyal Lepcha Minister for Buildings and Housing Bhim Hang Limboo local MLAs Zilla Adhakshya and Upa-Adhakshya of Soreng Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism CS Rao Commissioner-cum-Secretary for Education Raj Yadav and the District Collector Superintendent of Police and other departmental heads. Their collective presence signified a coordinated governance approach to development delivery.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sikkim\u2019s current leadership under Prem Singh Tamang is increasingly relying on direct field-level assessments to improve governance transparency and execution efficiency. His visit to Soreng district not only highlighted his commitment to developmental goals but also sent a strong message to bureaucratic machinery that delay and inefficiency will not be tolerated.
