Amaravati\u2019s development blueprint has entered a decisive phase with the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) outlining projects worth \u20b981,317 crore, aimed at creating a modern, sustainable, and eco-conscious capital for Andhra Pradesh. Tenders totalling \u20b950,552 crore have already been invited, marking a significant stride in transforming the greenfield city into a world-class administrative and economic hub.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At a high-level review meeting at the state secretariat, senior municipal officials and infrastructure planners reported that construction work is currently underway on 74 projects spanning residential zones, public buildings, arterial roads, utility ducts, flood control systems, and key urban infrastructure. The authorities were tasked with accelerating timelines, with a directive to complete critical components six months ahead of schedule.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Particular emphasis was placed on developing the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) areas, which form the backbone of Amaravati\u2019s urban footprint. Officials confirmed that residential quarters for government functionaries, judicial officers, and city employees are advancing, alongside strategic public infrastructure. The administration reiterated its commitment to honouring returnable plot allocations to farmers, ensuring such measures remain aligned with the master plan while protecting landholders\u2019 interests. <\/span>The capital\u2019s long-term vision extends beyond administrative functions, with active outreach to prestigious educational institutions, including those specialising in engineering, management, and advanced research. Authorities have pledged to fast-track approvals for universities, research centres, and private enterprises seeking to establish a presence in the capital region.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In parallel, 72 organisations that have been allotted land within Amaravati\u2019s limits are being monitored for progress, underscoring the administration\u2019s push to ensure that land allocations swiftly translate into operational investments. Strategic sectors earmarked for growth include a dedicated Sport City, tourism corridors, advanced healthcare clusters, biotechnology hubs, and integrated airport infrastructure. <\/span>The CRDA has also been directed to invite India\u2019s top real estate and infrastructure companies to anchor flagship projects in the capital, ensuring both quality and scale. This move aligns with the city\u2019s broader economic strategy of attracting diversified investments and enhancing job creation.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Environmental sustainability forms the bedrock of the capital\u2019s design. The plan envisions Amaravati as a green energy corridor, prioritising electric mobility, renewable energy integration, and digital air quality monitoring across its seed, capital city, and capital area zones. These initiatives are intended to position Amaravati as a benchmark for climate-resilient urban planning in India. <\/span>The state\u2019s approach balances rapid infrastructure expansion with long-term sustainability imperatives, signalling that the development of Amaravati will not only meet present needs but also future-proof the city against environmental and economic challenges. With substantial capital inflows, high-end institutional interest, and a decisive administrative push, the capital\u2019s transformation is steadily gaining momentum.<\/span><\/h4>\n
