The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has advised affected households and businesses that electricity will be unavailable between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, urging them to plan essential activities accordingly. The outage will impact multiple south-western neighbourhoods, including Kambipura, Karubele, H Gollahalli, Katanayakanapura, Varahasandra, Swamijinagar, Anchepalya, Aprameyanagar, Krishna Temple Government School area, Provident Apartments, VBHC Avtomento, Good Earth, Srinidhi Green Layout, and Devagere, along with surrounding localities. BESCOM emphasised that the maintenance is crucial for long-term energy stability and to minimise the risk of unplanned blackouts that can disrupt residential and commercial activities.<\/span>Officials highlighted that quarterly maintenance at the 66\/11 KV Kambipura substation is part of broader efforts to modernise Bengaluru\u2019s electricity infrastructure. \u201cRegular upkeep of substations and distribution networks is critical to ensure uninterrupted supply and accommodate the city\u2019s rising consumption,\u201d said a senior KPTCL engineer.
