Urban planners say the intervention is less about a single event and more about unlocking a coherent master plan for a dense civic and recreational district while protecting essential water infrastructure. <\/span>The pipeline in question is among the city\u2019s oldest strategic water assets. Installed in the mid-1980s, the 1,600 mm diameter line transports treated water from the northern purification plant to multiple distribution zones across central and western Ahmedabad.
